Week of September 25th – September 29th

This week our district will be participating in a community spirit week that ends with a fun Homecoming Parade (5:00pm, Campus Parkway)

Fall 2023 Acadience assessment results will be emailed home via SchoolMessenger in the next few weeks. This year, you will get separate emails for Reading and Math scores and you will need to enter your child’s birthdate to open the files (if you are the parent of multiple K-3 students, note the child’s name in the body of the email to know which birthdate to enter). Each day classrooms have a dedicated snack time. We ask families to provide a daily snack. If you need assistance with daily snacks, please reach out to our Social Worker, Terri Pickett (pickettt@salineschools.org).

Social Emotional Learning Update: SAS is excited to introduce social emotional thinking curriculums and Social Emotional Learning Coaches in all K-8 buildings. The Social Emotional Learning Coaches will be helping to support all classrooms using Social Thinking and Be Good People curriculum, which focuses on the 5 competencies of social emotional learning. There are NO scheduled bus route cancellations for the week of September 25. The Transportation Department and many supporting staff from other departments are using all available drivers to cover bus routes. Due to our continued need for bus drivers, unplanned route cancellations due to illness/injury are still possible. The Ride 360 app will be used to communicate unplanned cancellations. Please make sure you have enabled notifications on the app. Instructions to install and use the Ride 360 app are available on the Saline Area Schools Transportation website.
