Week of October 19th – October 23rd

A Note From Ms. Sickler

A few notes regarding safety at Harvest:

  • Thank you to all in-person families who are following the rules for drop-off/pick-up to keep everyone safe.  Please refer to page 1 and 2 to review our drop-off/pick up procedures in the Harvest In-Person Toolkit.
  • For families who park in the west parking lot (parking lot closest to Saline High School), we have a newly added a crosswalk!  Because this is also our bus loop, we ask all families to park and use the crosswalk to get to the sidewalk.

  • Next Monday and Tuesday we will be completing our first set of fire drills.  HERE is a good resource that explains in kid-friendly language why we have fire drills.

We have decided to forego a Scholastic building bookfair this year.  Our hope is that families purchase books through their children’s classroom book orders.  Teachers will be able to use points to directly purchase books for their individual classroom libraries.

Did you know that outstanding student work will be on display along with some former and current art teachers of Saline Area Schools at Carrigan Cafe?  A special tribute to art teacher Stephen Kerr will be on display by colleagues and community members.
