If you would like to get a head start over the break and are looking for ideas for a project, there are many books in our school and public libraries to help inspire your creativity.  The following websites are also full of great ideas:

Did You Know?

Did you know that our community meetings follow a predictable pattern? About once a month, all students come to the cafeteria/gymansium for a community meeting. We begin by singing our opening song (with some help by Mrs. Dana!), work on how to be great students at Harvest and follow the Harvest 4, and celebrate birthdays and shining stars.

A Note From Ms. Sickler

Winter Break is around the corner!  As we approach the end of the year, it is with pride that we look back at what our students and staff have accomplished in a mere 4 months.  Walking the halls, I am continually impressed with the learning and community building that takes place each day at Harvest!

Finally, on a personal note, I would like to wish our Harvest families a happy holiday filled with family and friends. It is moments like this, when we can pause, catch our breath and look back, that I realize how honored and lucky I am to be a part of this community.

Girls on the Run needs YOU!
Girls on the Run is excited to bring this program to Harvest for another great year.  We are in need of coaches!  You don’t have to be a runnerjust enthusiastic about building confidence in our 3rd grade girls!  Girls on the Run provides all of the materials and training – we just need a few energetic people to deliver this great program.
Girls on the Run is a ten-week program for girls in grades 3rd through 8th that combines training for a non-competitive 5k event with a dynamic life skills curriculum. Twice weekly lessons and interactive activities are led by volunteer coaches who create a positive and safe environment for girls to learn about themselves, connect with their peers and contribute to the community. The program culminates in a non-competitive, celebratory 5k event that allows the girls a chance to shine with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment! No prior experience necessary- we provide the training, supplies, support and inspiration! Contact info@girlsontherunsemi.org or Harvest site liaison Joyce Mueller (joycemueller@gmail.com / 734-972-7389) for more information.
