Week of September 2nd – September 6th

A Note from Ms. Sickler

What a week!  Our amazing Harvest staff has worked so hard this week to make sure our students make a great transition to the 2019-2020 school year.  Visiting classrooms, I see students connecting with their classmates, experiencing exciting learning opportunities, and having fun.

To better meet the needs of all our students, we had to make a shift with our specials schedule.  The updated specials schedule is pictured below and on the Harvest website.  Note that the new specials schedule will begin on Wednesday, September 4th as we begin “Day 1”.  You will notice that the days your child goes to various specials have changed.

Additionally, a paper AUP Technology form will be sent home this week.  Both you and your child need to fill this out and return it to school by Friday, September 6th.

Did You Know?

Did you know that all our Young 5 and Kindergarten students have a 3rd-grade buddy?  These buddies were instrumental in helping our newest Harvest Hornets learn about daily routines and help with the transition to school.  On Tuesday, our 3rd-grade buddies met our Young 5 and Kindergarten students in the gym and helped them to their classroom.  Once in the classroom, they helped with morning routines.  3rd-grade buddies were also on hand during lunch and to help with packing up and dismissal.  We are so lucky to have such great third grade leaders!
